TRUEFOAM FOUNDATION PLUS/SHEATHING is a single product that efficiently meets a range of different exterior insulation challenges both below and above grade. Its versatility makes it a solid choice for new construction and home improvement applications.

FOUNDATION PLUS/SHEATHING combines high thermal performance and resistance to moisture with economy and ease of installation.

FOUNDATION PLUS/SHEATHING is made from high density TRUEFOAM Type 2 expanded polystyrene (EPS), and serves both as insulation and exterior sheathing material.

Because EPS is breathable, FOUNDATION PLUS/SHEATHING avoids the problems of trapped moisture, condensation and dry rot that can arise with non-breathable materials. And because of its compressive strength, moisture resistance and excellent durability, it is an excellent choice for use under concrete slabs and on exterior foundation walls.

FOUNDATION PLUS/SHEATHING is available in 2' x 8' sheets with standard thicknesses ranging from 1" to 2 ". (Other thicknesses are available by special order.)

Installation is very straightforward - no special tools or techniques are involved. For basement use, FOUNDATION PLUS/SHEATHING is applied directly against the exterior concrete. It can be attached to the concrete with insulation adhesive, or simply nailed to the sill plate or joist header.

For new construction above grade, FOUNDATION PLUS/SHEATHING is simply attached to studs with 1/2" head galvanized nails. Corners, windows and doors are easily trimmed out. FOUNDATION PLUS/SHEATHING is compatible with any type of exterior finish material.

In home improvement applications, FOUNDATION PLUS/SHEATHING is installed directly over the existing building face, and finished with new siding or brick.
